Daisey was baptized ( by immersion ) at the Seveth Day Adventist Church in
Wright Street, Hurstville, Sydney, NSW, Australia. She was 14 years of age and
her future husband, Len, was baptized at the same time. They were married a
few years later ( on the 8th January, 1947 ) in the same church. Len
remembered Daisy from the time she was 4 years old and her mother stood her on
the pew to say her memory verse. Daisy was born in the front bedroom of the
house her father built in Russell Street, Oatley NSW, above Oatley Bay on the
Georges River. Previously, the family had lived in the boatshed on the same
block while the house was being built. It was the same floorplan, but on a
larger scale than the house her father Bill and his brother Robert, built in
Waitara Parade , Hurstville Grove, just across the bay from Oatley.
