The Egan Pence is a
voluntary donation fund designed to help support the maintenance of Redwood
Castle. Built in 1210, it is thought to be the oldest occupied castle in
Ireland where the present owners are descendants of the last traceable owners,
dating back 600 years! The Castle is maintained by the widow and family of our
late Founding Chief, Michael Egan, the man whom completed enormous renovations
on the site and saved it for generations to come.
Mrs. Egan opens the Castle to visitors on a seasonal basis and graciously welcomes
all Egans to the Castle every four years for our Rallies in Ireland. The Castle
is a monumental piece of history, to both Egans and historic preservationists
alike. Within its ancient walls, hidden deep in the heart of central Ireland,
one feels the enormous magnitude of the great Achievements made by Egans past.
Please help to keep this treasure alive by making a donation today, all of which
goes directly to the Fund without any administrative costs being deducted, by
completing the form below (or by including your donation amount in the appropriate
field of your Membership form) and mailing your check or money order to the
address that will appear upon submission of the form. Thank you!
