Clan Egan DNA Project

Clan Egan has established a DNA Project with FamilyTreeDNA (FTDNA) in Texas as part of an attempt to bridge some of the major gaps in the documented genealogies. Details about this project can be found here. If you wish to participate, just click the “Join” tab in this project site.

Sue Egan in Australia is the Clan administrator for this project. When you send your kit back, please contact her at spebt10@gmail.com with your Test Kit Number including your email and, if you wish, your earliest know ancestors details (names, country and county/state of birth) for display in the results at Family Tree DNA.

Please investigate the “FAQ” tab at FTDNA website for comprehensive information on DNA testing.

Griffith’s Valuation Material Online Database

Griffith’s Valuation is one of Ireland’s premier genealogical resources, referencing approximately one million individuals who occupied property in Ireland between 1848 and 1864, invaluable in part because no census material from the nineteenth century has survived and only Griffith’s Valuation links an individual to a specific townland and civil parish.
